Application Process

Applicants for Tennent must be in possession of an undergraduate degree with a GPA of a 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Before final acceptance, a copy of the transcript, issued by the granting institution, must be on file.

1. Each applicant must provide:

  • A completed application form (see below)

  • Two personal references

  • One academic reference

  • A short testimony. Please write and get ready to upload a concise but full account of your spiritual autobiography/testimony, including family life, significant people and events that have contributed to your Christian growth, your desire for theological training, your sense of calling, and how you believe Tennent can help you. (3 pages/ 10MB maximum)

  • An academic writing sample. Please provide (or write, if you do not have one on hand) an academic writing sample, preferably in biblical/theological studies. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. (6-10 pages / 10MB maximum)

2. Complete an Application Form (includes an application fee of $30)

3. Upon acceptance into the program, students are required to place a nonrefundable $500 deposit (all of which will be applied to room and board expenses) in order to hold a place in a cohort and reserve lodging.

 

 

Provisional Acceptance

Those who do not have a bachelor’s degree, yet are in possession of a high school diploma, and have a demonstrated capacity for ministry leadership may be considered for provisional acceptance into Tennent.

Upon successful completion of a probationary period of not less than two terms, having demonstrated Master’s level proficiency, the student may upgrade from their provisional status to full candidacy into one of our Master’s programs.
