Alan Hensley

Alan grew up in Alamosa, Colorado, and has lived in Colorado his entire life. That being said, he doesn’t do many of the stereotypical “Colorado activities.” He doesn’t ski, snowboard, mountain bike, or raft. The one thing that helps him keep his Colorado credentials is his love for fly fishing. He’s also a loyal fan of the Broncos, Nuggets, and Avalanche because they represent his home state. More than anything, he desires to see the people of Colorado know and love Jesus.

Alan didn’t necessarily grow up in the church world. Through family members, summer camps, and a college ministry, he came to know Jesus. After graduating from college, he served in college ministry for four years before becoming an associate pastor in Durango, Colorado, where he has served for the past six years. Alan loves the local church and is passionate about seeing it strengthened, equipped, and growing in faithfulness to Christ.

Alan is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (M.A.T.S.) through William Tennent School of Theology. In his role with Tennent, he connects prospective students and local churches to the mission of the school, helping leaders discern opportunities for theological training while remaining deeply rooted in the life and ministry of the local church.
